You can find vintage gold dip nibs like this sometimes, and I thought I should try my hand on one of them. They’re beautiful little things and wonderful for display, but I just cannot hold on to them for how small it is. It is like writing with a chopstick. Maybe I am holding it wrong, but it was quite uncomfortable and I could only manage a paragraph at a time. Still, it works great as an ink tester.

This one is called the Ribbon script. I wrote it with the new iridescent black ink, and it is quite funny in the light.
I always liked gold on black, it’s very classy and elegant. Held up to the light in the right way, it can be quite flashy.
