Openinkstand Art & Calligraphy

This is a beautiful antique oblique holder that I managed to pick up from ebay. It bears a striking resemblance to this beautiful Magnusson holder in the RR Reed collection, but this one was found in an estate sale and is estimated to be at least 60 years old. The flange is made from a very hard material, probably nickel silver. There was a very old, rusty and damaged Spencerian #25 nib set in it.

I found it very light and comfortable to use.. and am still looking for more information about it :)
