Many people these days like heavy shades in their calligraphy, it feels like they don’t think they’re getting their money’s worth unless it’s really shaded! I have to disagree sometimes, for me something really fine like the above can be very attractive too. It is very contemporary and clean, and not as ‘stuffy’ as the traditional script. Unfortunately the shaded script is still more popular, but occasionally I get a request for a thin script like this and then I am thrilled!
