Spencerian Sightings

I was at Target the other day, and while browsing for note cards, found these two Thank You notes written in a Spencerian inspired style. And that inspired me to start this new series called Spencerian Sighting.. where we take pics of Spencerian used in the wild.

Of course it has to be quite particular… not all swirly letters is Spencerian and not all calligraphy is Spencerian. But I think we can safely assume these are Ornamental/Spencerian inspired based on the uppercase T and the familiar swirls… even though they are now done by a computer! It’s not quite right, but hey we’ll take what we can get!

If you spot any Spencerian sightings, email it to me and I’ll feature it here!

Very cool! I love this idea :). It seems more rare to see Spencerian in the wild so I’m excited to see more.
